Keeping my gains

I recently blew my right MCL in an accident and I’m pretty concerned about losing my muscle during my down time. I have a fast metabolism so I normally consume 5000 caories a day. Is there any supplements that will help me maintain some of the gains I’ve made over the past few years? My legs are an important part of my workouts. Protein and calories don’t seem to be helping. Thanks in advance.
