Keep Failing 5x8 on Simple Guaranteed Size

Second time around running the program, I hit the 3x8 pretty easily, then failed 5x8 the next workout. Rested 3 days and again couldn’t hit it. Should I drop the weight 5-10 pounds and start over at 3x8?

Yes you should. Progress is not linear. And after running a program twice, the expected gains should be lower.
