Elliptical and treadmill- the usual.

This house buying and dealing with these tricky mf’ers is stressful. But they were mistaken if they thought I would take their word on things. The seller rep was pushing their lender with a $6K credit. But their lender was charging $4700 in fees. Plus charging me over double the rate for an appraisal. I’m so over this.

Cavoodle? Awesome dogs

Golden doodle - it’s the ex’s dog. He is very friendly. She got him right before I moved out.

Being an a-hole. A-holes do a-hole stuff. Where this particular gym sits, anyone on this road is most likely going to the gym. This guy turns into the gym without using his blinker. A-hole! Because I could have went if I knew he was turning. So he walks in right in front of me and doesn’t hold the door. A-hole. Then he puts 45lbs total on each side of a barbell and does “something” (mostly look at his phone), and then he gets up and leaves the weights! That is my pet-peeve. The point is, a-holes are a-holes in life. I’m sure he is the same in all aspects of his life. Vent over!

I’ll do some miscellaneous stuff later

HS wide iso press 90lbs x 16, 180lbs x 12, 270lbs x 12, 360lbs x 6, 6, 6, 6, 5, 270lbs x 13, 11

HS decline press 270lbs x 8, 7, 9, 8, 7

What an A-hole. I’m imagining a skinny legged, top heavy gym shark wearing gym bro. Am I right or do A-holes come in all shapes and sizes??

I laughed at your response! Skinny legs yes, but dad body. Small gut, no muscle definition, rather tall. And totally NOT a gym bro.

Of all the things they do there, not putting their weights up for some reason drives me crazy.

Trap day!

Yesterday 3 sets of 15 ab-wheel, and then compex on my obliques for 40 minutes.

Today, play with kids at pool, which was 20 minutes of throwing 50 lbs in the air and avoiding getting kicked in the face.

Then 100 100# dead ball over the shoulder

It’s a mind fuck. I felt I could go heavier on both lifts, but why? Heavier means more joint pressure and chance for injury. Slowing down the movement and concentrating makes it harder. So, I opted for the smarter option. At home in the shower I was still thinking I should have added at least 50 more pounds. Mindfuck

Leg press 180lbs x 10, 270lbs x 12, 360lbs x 12, 12, 12, 12, 12
Reverse hack squat 270lbs x 10, 360lbs x 12, 450lbs x 10, 10, 10, 10

100 % agree. If your goal is not strength related and is more about body composition then using the least weight possible to get that stimulus makes the most sense. Can’t remember who said it but a quote I love is “If you want to powerlift then the goal is to manipulate all factors to make lifting heavy weight easier, if you want to bodybuild then the goal is to make lifting light weight feel as hard as possible”

Hard session. The drive was uncomfortable yesterday. Then there was the strenuous enjoyable cardio . Followed by crappy sleep in a foreign bed with someone touching you during the night when you are used to sleeping alone, snoring and farting at will. Plus, she doesn’t turn the air down enough. I think I’m going to complain about that today. Anyway, 5am wake up, walk her dog, lay around for a few hours and then hit the gym. The gym is cool, spaced out nicely. It a la fitness signature club and I actually liked it. The only downside is that I wanted to start with the handstand holds, but the area to do them in was already occupied.

I pushed up the 65’s on the last set of DB curl/press. My goal is to press the 75’s. I have up to 70’s at home, so once I move into my house, I’ll get to work.

DB curl press singles 27.5’s x 10, 60’s x 8, 8, 8, 8, 65’s x 4
Seated calf raises 90lbs x 20, 20, 13, 11
Smith military press 50lbs x 10, 70lbs x 10, 90lbs x 10, 9, 9, 7, 6
Light Shoulder presses to burnout 15ish reps x 5
Overhead cable extensions to burnout x 4

Ahh the hip intensive glute exercises

Oh the horror stories I can tell you about sharing a bed with my girlfriend. I swear to god sometimes I need 2 hours extra sleep just to compensate for the low quality sleep where I’m molested and elbowed

I love kick boxing class. I hadn’t done this in over 2.5 years. I thought I would do better than I did, but I still did better than everyone else in the class (which isn’t saying much). The things that got me were flexibility, and stamina. The burpees which I decided to do properly until the end wore me down. Towards the end it was just a sprawl like everyone else.

I made it back home and picked up my two sick kids. So I’ll probably end up sick. Don’t expect much out of me this week.

While the boys did Jujutsu

What type of training split has a dedicated trap day? Quality

Have you seen my traps! I typically have a dedicated trap day once a week. Sometimes they are mixed with deadlifts or rack pulls if time and programming allows.
