Just Finished Reading 5/3/1 2nd Edition

Yeah a little late to the party I know…but better late than never yes?

But I digress.

I just finished reading and I really like the layout of the north of vag & “simplest strength template” and was looking for a quick confirmation.

Would a typical workout consist of…?

  1. Warm up
    Foam rolling
    Stretching
  2. 5/3/1 workout
    Main lift (5/3/1 pr set where weight and reps depend on the week)
    “big” assistance lift (seems like a slight variation of the main lift is used)
    Accessory (lats/triceps/ab work)
  3. Conditioning
    Hill/Prowler

Looking forward to your guys’ responses and doing this program.

That’s pretty much it.

There’s an article on tnation called the Boring but Big 3 Month Challenge that taught me a lot about how to layout a template.
