20 minutes on the elliptical, “weight loss 1” preset.

Woke up with a little ache in my triceps and glutes. Some glute ache the day after squatting is probably good.

Paused Bench - 1x5x70, 1x5x100, 1x5x120 first time pausing, trying to keep tension across the chest but still feel it in my shoulders a lot

Not feeling great today, hope it works out still.
Front Squats - 1x5x105
Back Squat - 1x5x105, 1x5x155, 1x3x205, 1x1x245
Deadlift - 1x5x135, 1x5x185, 1x3x235, 1x0x285 grip didn’t fail but couldn’t quite lock out
Inverse Rows, heel elevated 1.5" - 8
Push-ups - 20

Hit the squat I was after, failed but did way better on the 285 deadlift than last time I tried. Also tried the front squat with a full clean grip and it felt solid in my hands, but also like my hands were supporting more of the weight than I’d think they should have.

Did 20 minutes on the elliptical, “weight loss 2” preset. Has a little more time at higher resistance but was easier to do than the previous one.

The metal of the garage door is slightly painful to touch, it is so hot. Gonna be sweaty. Little upset there is always more crap in my garage when all I do is take junk out. Barely room to row today up near the overhead door.

Laying leg extension/curl SS - 3x12 each x50lbs with no rests. Preacher attachment on my bench kept my leg curl ROM limited unfortunately. Will need to take it off and up the weight a lot.

Pendlay Rows - 5x3x135 all easier and stricter than last time
Paused Bench - 1x5x60, 1x5x80, 1x5x110, 1x5x130
Flat Bench - 1x2x160

Really low on time and works been so stressful. I did what’s expected to be 22 hours of work the last two days. Absolutely crushing data entry and sending letters is surprisingly draining. I’d have liked to do more this workout but no rest at home either. Bench pr I guess.

Did not quit. But wow it has been a while. Had a mini vacation for our anniversary, took the kids to a boating event, got their adoption papers in, found a job opening that is one step up from where I am now, and got back to work and started on a bunch of lead paint issues and pointless voicemails. The other inspector is in so it shouldn’t be so crushing at work for a while. Only gained a pound despite a week of lounging and eating for pleasure. Used time on my vacation to help another couple from church move, which is totally my kind of activity, carrying a thing downstairs and then jogging upstairs and repeating.

Huh… people like leg extensions and curls in my log? :smile: 7/28 was in short a very rough pack / hike. 7/30 we got a 1 and 3 year here as respite care and the rest of the week has not been conducive to having any private time. Where’d I leave off?

Dadded the heck out of the kids this morning. Had some weird thing happen in my middle back on the left side when I leaned over; it’d just seized up really hard. I lay down with my legs up on the couch a few minutes and it didn’t do it anymore. Looking at anatomical pics versus where I felt it I guess longisimus but idk. Let’s see how today goes.

Lot of reps on the bench. Love sushi. One of my sister in laws is Japanese and her sushi is to die for.

There’s a chain here that started in our home town and happens to have a shop just a couple blocks from where we live now. They offer a lot of unorthodox rolls. Maybe I can grab a picture of our dinner to post (wife always shows off our dinners out on Facebook :slight_smile: )

These last few days have been split up with the squatting snuck in while doing chores downstairs, then the rest upstairs where the kids’ bedrooms are once they’re in bed. They were tired earlier tonight than usual so I get a whole 30 minutes “extra” in my day today and it’s amazing.

Scale says I’m 173 after eating dinner tonight.
