Just Clean and Press

I’m 44 and trying to balance work/life/lifting. Here’s what I’m thinking - is it too little to gain strength?

Clean and press (form floor) 5 sets x 3 reps straight across
Front squats 5x3 across

Some type of conditioning (sled pull or sandbag carry)

Goal is to work c&p up to 225 (not even at 185 yet).


Give it a go and see how it works out.
Can’t beat the compound work for overall conditioning. The 3 rep range is for strength gains. The only concern there would be missing weak points. Perhaps less weight and higher reps would avoid injuries?

Pretty much works. Press and squat + a pull are my mainstays.
