Jim, Why the Wendler 6...

Why do you recommend the wendler 6? I know you say “to end all discussion about assistance exercises”.

But why these 6 exercises, maybe you can explain this.

He already did, in a way:

It’s just that the Wendler Six manage to complement the big four very well to make sure no muscle group is left out. Sure, you can do dumbbell presses instead of dips; you can do many things that will work. But if you have to pick only six assistance exercises, these are a very good choice.

Training economy and efficiency, as well as addressing the three main reasons of assistance work. When these are combined with a total program - it addresses most issues that most people have. The key is knowing the three reasons of assistance work AND using them in a total program.
