A little column A, a little column B.
5 weeks before my marathon my knee blew up from the training, so i took 5 weeks off running to give me a chance of running pain free.
Futile in the end, my knee blew up again in the first mile, so finishing that was the most painful day of my life bar none.
After the marathon both my knees were shot, i was limping with both legs which was very entertaining for those around me. Was about 3 weeks until i could walk up the stairs pain free.
Post marathon and pre knee recovery I was doing a bit of bench here and there but couldnt do any lower body training.
2-3 weeks ago I started some light lower body work, just getting acclimatised to the lifts again. As of now I feel ready to get back to something resembling a ‘normal’ training routine, albeit with much lighter training maxes, so it feels worth recording again. Nothing I’ve done in the last 2 months was worth writing out.
