Is This a Good Routine?

Just curious what you guys think of this routine? my friend and I were thinking about trying it...

It looks like a good, basic split routine, nothing wrong. I'd just substitute plate raise with bent over lateral raise (on shoulder day), and (maybe) french press with close grip bench press.
When it calls for 4x8,8,8,5 try starting with a reasonable weight (something you can lift 12 times with good form), working up to a max 8 reps, then increase to a near 5 reps max for your last set; it should be more effective than three sets with the same weight.
