Do not discount the butt shoving qualities of gold.
There are Jews alive today, many with a number tattooed on their arm who have wealth stored in gold and diamonds in easily accessible vaults.
I think they learned a thing or two from their history.
What we could also learn that they do not have it stored for them, they store it themselves and there is no paper trail that it is there.
Should Obama or anyone else pull an FDR, they will still have their gold.

I have been shorting GLD and long DXY for about four months now.
I have also been short the S&P 500, but I am about to get aggressively so. Even thinking of reviving my Market Predictions thread, if there is any interest.
