Is Anybody Else a Closed Book?

Does anybody else not reveal anything to anybody at all
other than the detail of them being a closed book of course.
just wanna say HI

That’s for me to know and you to not find out.

My girfriend doesn’t even know my phone nu.ber and my daughter has only sees my face when I wear a mask…

be in college
randomly walk in and out of my suite at odd hours
tell people “I need to return some videotapes” in a half-serious tone whenever they ask where I’m headed
fast forward to second semester
bitches who chill in my suite mack me at parties and tell me I’m so mysterious
mfw it’s so I can shit without having to use the bathroom that is 6 feet from the couch they sit on in the common room

.

this is fun

Is being an open book like wearing your heart on your sleeve?

Is wearing your heart on your sleeve like being a leaky faucet?

I think so… which is comparable to being a wet blanket.

Wet blankets are the result of broken condoms

What if I’m not a book. Can I be a door please?

I’d say I’m a door left ajar…

Is this what you mean OP?

Admitting you’re a closed book is being too open in my book.

Naah, I sort of used to be…nowadays though, I’m more like a filter, some people will only ever get a heavily filtered version of me others will, more or less get the whole shebang.

lol I’m like this I guess. Won’t say anything unless I feel the need to state/ask something or if I am asked a question. Not really much for small chit chat or ‘water cooler’ talk.

People generally don’t know how to take me at first, but what I do notice is they seem to listen a lot more intently and appreciate that rare opportunity to get to know you when you do open up a little.

Some people I feel open up too much and it just leaves you completely open to someone leveraging you. I.e. the chick in the office that feels the need to discuss everything from her opinion on plastic surgery, to the types of guys she meets, to what she gets up to on weekends in intricate detail…

Basically I believe unless you are hanging out/catching up with them outside of working hours, they really don’t need to know much more than the fundamentals about you. I.e. your main hobbies, your work ethic, what sports team you support … you get the idea.

Has its advantages and its disadvantages.
