IronOne's Strength Journey

Look for sales all over the place, even used ones. The big ones comes on sale.
I would go for all three get the 88 first and then keep an eye on those sales.

Did a light S&S day to get recovered some and allow for extra work. May have worked, may not haha.
It’s unbelievable how light a 50 is now. Could have thrown it through the ceiling I was hitting so hard on the swings. No rest, straight through all of it. Probably went harder than needed since bnb I had work to follow, oh well.

However the C&P/chins were a different story. That shit was hard. Haven’t done them in awhile either, so neural wasnt on point till about set 5.

Pic update. My shoulder to waste ratio might be a all time PR…

Very tired today, but strength and stamina was actually OK. Waiting for scheduler to call me for my ablation. Ive been calling every other day trying to get it done. Pissing me off. Ready to get this sorted. Have not been in Afib that I’m aware of, but have been having lots of ectopics - PACs/PVCs, which are basically off beats/palpitations. Very unsettling and takes my breath away. Taking a toll on my energy levels too. Working out actually helps I think. I feel the best during them.

Totally agree on the heat. This summer was brutal and is lingering…luckily we get a break in the weather this week. 60-70 highs

Wish I had the heat here in DK, we closing down to 3-5 degree celsius in the nights, but it looks like we’ll have a couple of days with around 20 degree celsius which is ridiculous in october.

Complete reset. Back on 5/3/1 5s Pro and FSL. Trying to find my way again. Shoulder is funky along with right hip. However, both are in a better place than a few weeks ago. Going to start seeing sports chiro and sports physio once per month each until I’m back to 100%. Long road ahead, full of low weights, but that’s ok.

Also, I’ve dropped my gym membership and will embark on building my garage gym. I’ll document the journey of upfitting my home gym. Really looking forward to the freedom of not having to go to a public gym.

Pathetic home gym setup as it currently stands. A cheap Marcy Pro rack and bench, no name terrible bar, adjustable db handles, kb’s, ez bar, bands.

This winter I will be replacing everything except the plates, db handles and KBs with all new high quality equipment. Very excited. In the meantime, I’ll be getting my body back to 100%.

Full power rack, or some kind of half rack setup?

Adjustable bench in rack, or separate competition legal bench. Stiff bar or whippy Oly bar?

Researching equipment now. Here’s where I’m at currently:

Rack: either rogue, ethos or titan. Want rogue, but cant justify the cost vs. The ethos 1.0. Both 11 gauge and ethos far less expensive and comes with the multi grip pullup attachment and spotter arms.

Bar: probably rogue Ohio

Plates: probably rogue bumpers 200lbs or so to go with the 450lbs steel plates I already have.

Bench: titan probably, not sure more research needed here

Then a lot of accessories, proper matting, etc.

Won’t start placing orders for a month or so. Lot of research to go. I still may go full rogue. Or titan.

Will accept any advice! Thanks guys.
