Ireland PM Drunk on Air!

Brad Pitt did a pretty good job with his Pikey accent in Snatch, so I am told by a few of my buddies from across the pond.

sweet scene but I think he missed some vowel sounds and compensated by mumbling more than the rest. Any travelers on these boards care to evaluate?

You are aware he was an English pikey (in Ireland we call them knackers)? Pikey accent does not equate to Irish accent.

Truthfully, I was not aware that he was playing an “English Pikey,” but I was aware that Pikey does not equate with “Irish,” and that is why I described the accent as “Pikey” and not Irish. Again, I am not from that part of the world, but I have a few friends from Dublin who once told me that they thought he had a pretty good Pikey accent. But I have no basis to make that judgment independently.
