So my goals are pretty straightforward... My main goals are to be pressing the heaviest weights in my uni gym (50KGs) for reps, deadlifting 8 plates (180KGs) and squatting 6 plates (140KGs) before I graduate in eight months time (May 2012).
Short term goals by Christmas 2011:
Deadlift 160KGx1 (current PR is 150x1)
Flat DB Press 46KGx8 (current PR is 42x5)
Squat 110KGx5 (current PR is 95x4)
OHP 60x5 (current PR is 55x5)
Training philosphy for my main lifts is.... For Deadlift I'll be following the 5/3/1 for powerlifters and for squatting the original 5/3/1 format. For Flat DB Press I'll be using 5x5 ramping the weight to 2 working sets.
Alongside all this I'll be working my ass off in the library working towards a upper second class honours in computer science (2:1) and eating everything in sight to get past the 200lb mark.
I'm 20, 6foot3, 188lbs and been hitting the gym infrequently for 2/3 years now. Its time to step up my game.
