Insane Appetite?


Not necessarily looking for advice, just seeing how normal this can be. Also just up for a bit of discussion. (Also I’m just a weekend warrior, not competing for anything, so this doesn’t mean a whole lot for me)

Without going too much into detail, I finally cleaned up my diet (relatively anyways). It pretty much consists of various meats, poultry, fish, eggs, milk, peanut butter, water, nothing unusual. (I think this might be relevant? I used to eat like pure shit)

I do however have terrible portion control, and I usually just eat until I’m full, seems to work alright for me.

But some days get totally out of hand. About once every two weeks I just get this insatiable hunger. Last Saturday was one of them. I’m 6’3 210lbs for reference.

So basically I had 6 eggs and a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast (which I normally don’t eat, that was my first sign).

I had 2 PB&Js sometime after that

Went and got Flaming Amys, had 2 1/2 bowls worth of food there for… “lunch” at like 3.

Snacked on a big bag of pistatios pretty much all evening

Then had 3 plates of egg noodle spaghetti before bed.

And 2 protein shakes throughout the day trying to curb my appetite because i was tired of making food.

I normally just eat 2-3 meals a day, but my body just gets in these fits to eat literally everything. Anybody else go on benders?


I have days where I’m a bottomless pit but I don’t give in. I eat things that are lower calorie (veggies) to buy time until my next meal. My moments typically come in the afternoon after lifting. I’ll eat a 1000 calorie lunch and my stomach is growling 45 minutes later.

I find my PB&J sandwiches are delicious but not filling. I use tasty bread and 3 TBSP of peanut butter. They’re over 500 calories and do nothing for hunger.
