Injury Prevention Screening

Im about to become the first strength and Conditioning coach at a school with some amazing young athletes, many who compete at a national level. (I'll be working with ages 11-18).

I have all of my pre season fitness testing sorted out, but im not too sure what tests I can do to discover any potential injuries that the students might have.

Can anyone direct me to any good articles / links on this?

If you haven't already, check out the FMS screening tests (http://www.functionalmovement.com/). It is a pretty highly regarded screening tool to determine imbalances and risks for injury.

What do you currently have lined up for your pre season fitness testing?

Got to check with the head coaches, but nothing too complicated: 1RM testing, squat jump and medicine ball throwing tests, aerobic and anaerobic shuttle tests, sprint and acceleration tests, agility testing, FMS
