On TRT I’m pinning .5ml of T-Cyp e3d with 25 gauge 1" (25mm) 3ml syringes. I do it in my glutes. Close to painless with no soreness afterwards. I alternate each side.
I’m wondering if there would be a reason to shoot elsewhere to give my glutes a break? Will I develop intramuscular scarring over time? Does it make sense to start alternating with, say my quadriceps? Do the quads hurt more than the glutes?
I find the glutes to be the least painful. I pin with a 23G 1.5" when I go that route.
Quads for me are hit and miss. Oh lawd I tied to pin high on my quads once and I hit a bundle of nerves I’ll never forget. Tried to push through it and eventually gave up because I was straining so hard I couldn’t hold the needle steady! Went in an inch lower and it was a breeze. Quads are easy to get to as well! Every time I think about quads I think about me sitting on the couch trying to hold that stupid needle steady- and then I pin my glute. =)
Delts are pretty easy, but I’m crap with left handed injections. Every now and then just to make sure I still can do it I suppose.
Not sure if it’s allowed here but there is a site that might give you some ideas (www.spotinjections.com). Certainly helped me out when I wanted to get a visual of where I should be sticking besides my rear end.
I hear some guys are doing sub-q injections with insulin syringes. Never tried and I’m not sure how well it would flow but it would certainly be painless.
