Immoral Weapons

People shouldn’t hurt other people – why they believe it to be ethically correct is irrelevant to me.

And I think people should hurt others. Why is your way any better than mine?

I would say use of any weapon besides selfdefence is immoral.

ps. biological and nuclear arms are immoral in any scenario.

So, country A attacks and is overwhelming country B with their conventional forces.

It is clear that unless something drastic is done, the people of country B will be wiped out. Those who survive will live as slaves or, in the best case, as heavily oppressed 3rd rate residents of their now-occupied former country.

The one thing that might save the country is the use of bio or nuclear weapons.

But, the leaders of the country should decide that the “moral” choice is to let their own people go up in flames instead of using the weapons?

Gimme a freaking break.

Would suicide bombings be permissible in such a scenario?

What about IEDs?

If someone starts to bash you with a baseball bat, would you consider using a baseball bat in self defence ‘immoral’? Dumbest thread of the year.

No but I consider you the dumbest member of the year.

One sentence: Immanuel Kant`s categorical imperative.

And some would rather die than be a slave. So what?

Actions speak louder than words.

Yes, I do. I think we should hurt a lot of people.

Do it and live with the consequences.

I have. Been in a few fights. Now what?
Bonesaw93 wrote:

Do you mean using them on another country to avoid a drawn out war or just possessing them and thus preventing war?
I have a deathray. Don’t fuck with me.

I don’t think that morality and war can ever mix, to be honest.

I believe the real question is the morality of the war or mission. If a conflict is not worth doing whatever is necessary to prevail then stay home.

You’re the one making completely idiotic statements like ‘weapons are immoral to use that cannot be used to target an individual because they have a kill radius greater than that individual’. Can’t you see how idiotic that is? It’s so stupid I’d feel like an idiot myself explaining why. Seriously, what planet are you living on?

No, you’re an idiot because you CANNOT explain why it is ok to kill people unintentionally.

How many fights have you actually started?

Why do yo think your behavior is morally just?
