I’m a high school lacrosse player and throughout our season we play games during the week right after school. The only time I can work out is in the morning during school. I’m looking for the highest degree of immediate recovery I can achieve after my workouts. Right now the only things I can think of are post-workout stretching and post-workout nutrition. Any help would be appreciated.
Immediate recovery is almost an impossibility however contrasting showers, massage, stretching, ice are all good ideas, also the lower the intensity & volume of the workout is the quicker the recovery time will be.
How about post-workout naps? Surely you don’t pay attention in ALL of your classes, do you?
