Minnesota. That’s about 1200 miles too far north for me!
That’s a little more north then where I am, lol.
Just a little. One of my neighbors lives in Omaha. He’s a snowbird. Comes down every winter. He hydrates quite well…lol
But… we don’t REALLY get winter here.
Just the hint of winter.
I can guaranty 50 degree weather by just trying to set up an ice rink outside…
That’s just global warming…lol See a little farther north and you could have one! Oh wait! No… those are lakes not ice rinks.
Edit: this damn phone types in hillbilly.

Skating Lessons - 1 hour
Scrimmage - 1 hour
Tonight there was an hour wait between skating lessons and the scrimmage. Next week it will be a 1.5 hour wait, and it will be like that until youth hockey has finished.
Made a couple of good passes, including one for an assist during the scrimmage. Worked on taking longer strides on the ice and bending my knees more for speed.
Well you’re smack dab in the middle of the US no? So you can see the west to east coast, north and south of the borders just with binoculars? Ok well maybe a drone with a telescope?

Congratulations on your rep PR!
Congrats on the bench PR. I can totally empathize with the knee pain squatting.
All that skating each week has to have you in great condition. Plenty of admiration for you picking up the sport late and killing it.
Thanks, DB.
It’s humbling. There are so many minor details in it to be a better player. And to get to do them without thinking is hard.
It’ll keep me busy learning for a long time, lol
That’s awesome. Learning a game late is tough and add the difficulty of skating fast adds exponentially to the difficulty.
I tried to pick up skating when my son started playing hockey at 6-years-old. I could skate with him for about a year and since then the gap has steadily widened.

Scrimmage - 1 hour
Birthday scrimmage for friend. A lot of lower level skaters, so had some fun, offered ssome encouragement.
Pressured the better players to make them work harder.
Much rehydration afterwards.
Nice!!!..and congrats on the bench PR
WHOOT!!! Nice.
Glad to see the hockey is still going on in here. It’s nice to have something you enjoy like that.
Thanks Puff!
It does give me something to loo forward too.

League game - 1 hour
Lost 1-4. The captain put on the goalie gear for this game… Needless to say, he did a good job.
Had several good shots on net, a couple of good clears on the short side of a power play.
Was told I did a good job by the team.

Knees felt the best they have in a long time.
Lesson went well.
Scrimmage was a lot of good passes, defensive plays. A couple of hard shots on net.
One of the players from the other bench called me speedy, lol.
I had fun.
