I'm a Slut for Gym Equipment

Today I’m going to buy all of this for the sole purpose of acquiring…

This. Aint it cool? A freaking rolling Plate Holder!

I’m so jealous right now…

I have all that and more… sans the wheels. Damn that’s a great idea!

“Hey Chris, pass the christmas tree.”

how much did all that gorgeous material cost you?

That’s better than any porn on the internet I’ve seen in a while.

Nice rack ha

I am working out a trade for a a leg press machine (right term?) and a lat pull down/seated row machine for one of my old jeeps.

just like you I do not need them, just want to fill the basement gym up haha

Speaking of leg press machines, I had a 20-year-old York vertical leg press machine I wanted to get rid of a few years ago. I assumed that by putting it out on the curb that some local weightlifter would take it. Never happened. But sadly by trash pick-up day, I stood in my garage and watched the garbage men dismantle and toss it into the truck.

Kind of brings a tear to my eye just reminiscing about it. lol

If it’s all in good shape I will pay the asking price of $290.00 when I pick it up this afternoon. I’m only keeping the Plate Holder and the weight. Maybe the bench if it’s in good enough shape. The rest I’ll resale on Craigs. the Squat Rack I have now is way better than this one. One day I’ll post pictures.

A rolling plate tree has to be one of the best ideas I’ve ever heard.

Is that a custom job or did they manufacture them?

Well, they removed part A from part B. The damned thing was too heavy to just pick up and toss into the truck in one piece.

Our garbage men just leave all the heavy stuff unless we include a free pack of beer. Yes we have done that and it has worked.

This story makes me sad. If only people would leave leg presses randomly for the trash in my neighbourhood :frowning:

I’m pretty sure it’s custom. It looks like somebody made it in their garage or something. The guy didn’t know where it came from and there’s no brand name on it. It is high quality. With nearly 500 lbs of weight on it I was rolling it over cracks and bumps with no problem. The wheels are made to take it.

The rest of the stuff I’m not so happy with. The plates are rusty. The bar is REALLY rusty. The rack is ordinary (but quite serviceable) and the bench is clearly very old. I might have a hard time reselling these items.

By the way, the rack I already have is a custom rack. The guy I bought it from said he built it himself. It’s beautiful.
