I Was Wrong About The 'Stimulus'

There is evidence that the ‘Stimulus’ is helping ‘the little guy’ out there…

Brings a tear to my eye, actually.

The stimulus bill is doing exactly what its supposed to do: the market falls, unemploymrent rises, foreclosures and bankruptcies abound. The goal is to collapse the economy and establish a National Socialist type state. Why anyone would be surprised by this is beyond my paygrade.

YAY for the spendulus!

Hey it’s not all bad. The rest of us get $13/mo. of our own money back.

So at least we got that going for us.

Hey, it’s not like Paul Allens being ‘given’ money in the stimulus.

The government’s just not taking as much of what he earned.

Ergo, the new tax laws don’t favor the rich.

Right on Headhunter - it’s funny that after all these years of calling conservatives “Nazis”- the left has adopted all of the fiscal and economic policies of the National Socialist Party(real Nazi’s for those of the liberal persuasion) - Hitler would be so proud!

Paul Allen’s boat appears to be bigger than the frigate I served on, and it has a much better flight deck.

Snigger

When it comes to getting that monster $13 a week, it depends on who you are. For some of us, we will get nothing back. Oddly those of us who pay the most percentage wise get the least back.

That’s no different than the rate of return on our tax dollars. Redistribution of wealth via taxes is not new.

From the Tax Foundation report titled, “Who Pays America’s Tax Burden, and Who Gets the Most Government Spending?”:

Overall, we find that America’s lowest-earning one-fifth of households received roughly $8.21 in government spending for each dollar of taxes paid in 2004. Households with middle-incomes received $1.30 per tax dollar, and America’s highest-earning households received $0.41. Government spending targeted at the lowest-earning 60 percent of U.S. households is larger than what they paid in federal, state and local taxes. In 2004, between $1.03 trillion and $1.53 trillion was redistributed downward from the two highest income quintiles to the three lowest income quintiles through government taxes and spending policy.

Not for Californians. We passed Billions in new Taxes…so I will probablybe making less.

Oh and I pay my mortgage on time, yet the banks won’t help me reduce rates etc because my credit is good and I pay ontime. You have to default for 3 months, then they come hot and heavy for you to take a government program.

We are rewarding bad behavior.

Do it right, pay ontime and live with moral standards and you get no help.

Why do we feel the need to ONLY help losers? This only encourages people to default. Where’s the motivation or incentive to live within your means and pay bills ontime.

The mortgage bailout chops out to about 8k per bad mortgage…how many months will that work until the losers need more? Six month at best?

What happened to rewarding the honest person?

America…land where the illegal aliens and losers are embraced and propped up, and where the honest and hard working citizens are shunned and taxed.

That’s about it in a nutshell. If you subsidize bad behavior you will get more of it. Seems like common sense but we are talking about politics…

Seriously I’m paying my mortgage on time for a house I don’t live in.

You get more of what you reward. Period. Makes me want to stop paying my house note.

Couldn’t have said it better. Producers, those who help the economy run sh0ould get the breaks, not the dumbasses who fuck up their own lives.
