First: Cleaned 205 for 10 singles, HB pause squatted 330 for a single

Worked up to a 350 lb HB pause squat followed by 225 for a double on incline bench and 180x8 as a backdown set. Then I did 16 close, neutral grip chins and 30 minutes of cardio.

December 20, 2013 - “Rep Deadlift” (W6D3)

Went in wanting a 4x6 with 460 from a deficit w/ chains. Felt weak, but pressed on anyway. Once I got the the topweight, I did one single and realized how foolish this was. I went to eschew the deficit, but for whatever reason, my back decided to turn in. Because of this, I couldn’t get my body to fire with so much as a 365 lb conventional deadlift. Called it quits and went home. Frustrating.

It’s the high frequency, man. You’re not yet as adapted as you think. Also 460 is still a high percentage for you. You need to think in terms of that.

Probably. Might go back later and hit a lighter, higher rep topset just to get some type of work in.

Incline am not.

I used the form that you use. Strap up, then set up at the bar. I’d say it helps get into a safer position. Straps make shit feel better in general for some reason.
