I Still Can't Believe It...

(Really off-topic)

Here is a copy of what I received in a newsletter:

  1. The top 200 long-term keyword report

Our current database contains 368,159,632 search terms
and represents the complete queries from the largest
metacrawlers on the web (Metacrawler/Dogpile etc.) for the
last 60 days (2 months).

Nos. Count Keyword

1 141514 google
2 130414 ebay
3 120520 yahoo

Come on! People who use search engines to find links to search engines instead of typing up the name directly?

Do you know people who do this? I still cannot believe it.

Even if these keywords were part of a multiple-word query, Google and Yahoo are still in the top 3, even before Paris Hilton.

Unreal!

What asshat does a search for google? Are you sure that these just aren’t searches and that is what engine they are using? I know people are dumb but f**k, that’s re-dick-alous.

I’ll keep it at the top 20, you see it looks like a rather realist list of search terms. FYI, I have heard from a couple of very different sources that people really do these stupid requests. There’s no smoke without fire. OK, here we go. Look at #8 and #13:
