I Saw Bigger, Stronger, Faster Today

I saw this today, I had the earlier part of the day free,
so I caught a matinee here in NYC.

Not sure whether to post this here or in strength sports??

It was a good look at allot of things, sports heroes,
the supplement industry, the congressional hearings
really good interviews, and some familiar faces.
It was also cool to see some coverage of actual meets,
westside’s gym. and of the Bell family life.

If you are a regular here, a lifter, or an athelete
pro or against steroids you should see this.

Good stuff

wish they were showing it where I live?

Just threw it on my Netflix Queue, dont know when it will be released on DVD though.

I’m bummed as I don’t believe it’s showing in my area. I will definitely be getting the dvd once it’s released. I don’t get too hyped up for most movies that come out anymore, but this one has got me excited to see it.

D

Isn’t Jackass, a member here, one of the lead studies?

Is it supposed to be released on DVD around August-ish. Can’t wait!

I seriously doubt I’ll be able to see it in theaters in my neck of the woods. But I can see Sex in the City at my choice of 3 theaters. Yay.

Thank god for Netflix.

thank god for din al sabah…or should i say allah?

Yeah, his brother is the one that made the documentary. they have some clips on EliteFTS.com under Jackass’ log.

Just opened today in my area. The Washington Post gave it a very good review. I’m going to try to catch it this weekend.

Here’s and excerpt from the review:
``He tries to put it into a context, a system by which the athletes are not seen as gross abusers but part of a culture that rewards the attributes of bigness, strongness and fastness and doesn’t look too carefully at how such goals are met. He treats jocks like humans, not stars or superheroes, and in the end has managed something unique for documentaries these days: It’s as entertaining as it is fair.’’

This film has been getting good reviews.

Are any women athletes profiled in it?

T-Nation Readers.
We need your help pumping this film up. The movie is unreal. It is the best reviewed movie in the entire country right now. It is spreading to more and more theaters all the time. Magnolia pictures is not a huge company so they do not have the fire power of say an MGM. Anyway if it is playing within an hour or 2 of you grab a friend and make the trip to go see it. You will not regret it.

Also if you notice it is playing in a theater near a friend or relative tell them about the film and maybe they will go see it. Please help me spread the word! If anyone has any further questions please feel free to ask. Bigger, Stronger, Faster is one of the best documentary of all time.

Here is some more info on where it will be playing.

Thanks for the link.

I have to wait until July 11 for it to come to New Haven, but I’ll spread the word.

Looks like it’s coming to my town on the 20th. I’ve been looking forward to seeing this.

Not really.

I went and saw Bigger, Stronger, Faster today in Dallas. I was a very true look at the steroid issue and Chris Bell does a great job of putting some interesting questions out there. There were some very emotional parts, especially when his mom and dad were talking about his brothers using, and it really made me think about my views on steroid use as a former college football player and weight lifter and now as a HS coach.

The first thing I did when the movie was over was to call my brother, also a coach, and my dad and tell them they have to come and see it ASAP. Anybody else go to see it in Dallas today?

Thanks for the feed back!
www.rotentomatoes.com still has the film at a 100 rating! That is awesome. The site is pretty tough with it’s grades.

Thanks T-Nation[ers]!

i’ll probably go watch it tonight at irvine, looks good.

I just wanted to bump this thread…

I too put this on my Netflix queue, but I doubt it will be on DVD anytime soon…

Maybe, someone somewhere has a rapidshare file of it?

bump

Just saw it today. Enjoyed it immensely. The parts with Valentino and Louie were awesome.
