I-Pods

Personally I’m not a big fan of listening to music. I prefer silence and just being focused. Of course, I usually work out by myself or mostly by myself and don’t train in a commercial gym where I would have to listen to Avril Lavigne while lifting. In that case an iPod might be better.

I used to listen but found that it works better for me just to focus on the task at hand. Whatever floats though.

I like the idea of wearing an ipod while lifting, especially having people leave you the hell alone. But, I hate having stuff in my ears. I find it extremely uncomfortable. Thus, I just tune out any crappy gym music and try to appear unapproachable.
