I am curently 21 years old about 6’1 and I weight 158 at most( I know I am a skinny bastard). Can you guys give me some advice on eating to gain some good healthy weight. I just started doing bjj and I feel like I am way to skinning. Thanks for the help.
Of course we can give you advice but you’d be better off reading all the nutrition articles here at T-Nation.
Eat 5-6 smaller meals every day.
Quality protein with every meal.
Complex carbs in the AM.
Simple carbs (sugars) during and after workouts.
Slow digesting carbs (complex, fibrous) and proteins (meat, cottage cheese, casein) before bed.
Big (No, really BIG) breakfasts.
If you’re a true hardgainer… don’t be afraid to have pizza, soda, ice cream, etc. on occasion. If not, try to keep away from saturated fats, high-fructose corn syrups and other un-healthy choices.
Very important: Keep learning and experiment.
Most important: Stick With IT!
