I know, putting it on is fine, taking it off when your busted sucks…still, thats what hols my training buddy comes in handy for lol

Lucky to have such a good training partner. Hadn’t thought bout it in a while but my last regular weightlifting training partner was back in the early 90’s. I think I’m anti-social.

I prefer having a training partner, hols is by far the best TP ive ever had, we’re both on the same page and she trains harder than most. She can outlift 80-90% of guys in the gym lol. But a good training partner is very hard to find for sure pervious TPs have been unreliable, make excuses, showing up late, moan through the workout no matter how much encouragement ya give them etc.

Got myself a sweet second hand multi grip open hex bar for a bargain price for my home gym…love a wee bargain me lol. Also got these oversized 25kg bumper plates, so I’ll not need blocks going forward, loading the bar is easier too.

Training more at home again, only going to the gym once or twice a week for a change. For me gyms (commercial for the most part) have become a place to avoid, mostly because i cant be around these floppy haired, entiled, wee work shy Gen Z shits. They just sit about on their phones for hours with a gormless expression on their faces, inbetween their “optimal” 40 sets of 4kg biceps DB curls…does my head in. I was rised by a man that witnessed the blitz as a child, endured rationing, survived two IRA bombs and worked in the ship yard 50-60hrs a week exposed to the elements…aftercontracting TB. Am glad hes not alive to see what the youth of today have become.
