Hunchback? Truly Severe Kyphosis?

Calling it “Severe” is a little extreme!

You could probably straighten yourself out quick with some work for the muscles around your shoulder blades.

Your rib cage and your hips look like they are in good position, so that’s great. Sometimes a hunched upper back makes you compensate with bad hip tilt or flared ribs or other problems. It doesn’t look like any of that is happening for you.

How do your shoulders feel?

Though I’m no orthopedist or PT, I don’t think that’s severe or uncommon.

Are you tall? I’ve seen many tall men with that posture.
