Not condoning vandalism or anything but damn, had it been private property he would have been sued for damages and probably would have received no jail time.
The take away message: the state does not care about your property.
Monson sounds awesome. Jail time for vandalism is ridiculous. Especially when it’s public property, paid for by the public.
