over christmas I ate something bad and felt pretty shitty for about six days. Before this I hit PR after PR in the bench press (last cycle was 9 reps in the 3/3/3 week and 11 reps in the 5/5/5 week) but now the weights feel heavy and I`m not sure how to progress. Is it wiser to go back three cycles and progress with confidence or should I just repeat the last cycle and progress from there?
Spend a week just hitting the required reps and then you should be right back at it. It was just 6 days.
Unless you are injured, shoot for a PR. It’s not like you lost a limb.
