How to Piss Off a Liberal

LOL thanks for the laugh!

Well i just love it how in a democracy he who gets given the most money wins. What a fucken hoax. There was a time when i was very happy to live in australia and be so far removed from the US and its foriegn policy but under our current US bum sniffing govt im seriously pissed about it. Howard conveniently set up our country for a luvly terrorist attack in Bali for supporting the US in Afghanistan and Iraq, for fucks sake we produce 70% of our own oil and export to u so im not seeing the relevance of getting involved.

Anyway im not particularly educated on the subject but this follow the leader mentality displayed by my govt shits me, now he is busy abolishing workers rights but thats another story, fuckwit.

How did you feel?

Who did you call?

What excuses did you make?

Ask them if they contributed to the kerry campaign?

How does it feel knowing that the majority of Americans voted for W?

I hope it makes for a happy Thanksgiving.

Hey, Kerry only got 3 million more votes than Bush…Hmmm wow 3 million more votes!

No kidding!!! There was absolutely huge assumptions in that paragraph. Translation: because someone (a republican) makes a little money they don’t care about progressing.

I love these 20-something liberals wearing their ideology on their sleeves with the “oh yah, top that” comments. So sensitive. The funny thing is over half of them will convert over to conservatism in the next decade of their lives. I obviously pulled his chain quite easily with my “in jest” comments.

One way to piss off a lib…

Work hard, earn money and be happy with it!

Let me re-phrase…“Bush got the majority vote in the ELECTORAL COLLEGE.”

Sorry, it’s a 2 way street.

I agree. However depending on what time you visit college, your views are skewed. When I was in college I was a tree-hugging environmentalist based on books and popular thought. College can turn you into a communist thinking youth.

After earning my own way, I eventually came around.

Interesting. I was guilty of the tree-hugging environmentalism as well. So much so I became an environmental engineer. That was in a previous life. I’m in the computer field now and I’m loving it.

Rockscar,

DO NOT sit silently by!!!

You can see from this thread that the liberals want YOU to be quiet.

Remember, the only time a liberal EVER wins an argument is when the Conservative holds his/her fire.

It is NO coincidence that the cnn/bill maher shows have overwhelmingly liberal crowds. They usually have three liberals for every Republican on their panels.

When logic and passion (Conservative) confronts emotion (liberal), the Good Guys win every time!!!

Good luck on Thanksgiving!!! The Good Guys will be rooting for you.

JeffR

P.S. What in the hell were you thinking marrying into a liberal family?

It does irritate me, because I have heard that a few times from older Conservatives…“Give it time, you’ll be just like me”.

Maybe that happens to some kids who are liberal when they are young because…hell I don’t know. Because its the cool thing to do, or they are liberal because their parents were.

I don’t like speculating on my future, but I just seriously doubt that I will end up a Conservative in my old age. And yea, I despise it when people attribute my political beliefs to youth, inexperience, or lack of education. It is possible to be older, educated, and experienced and still be a liberal or socialist.

At the end of the day, you can end all of these arguements like this:

“Yeah, whatever. I’m still fucking your daughter.”

You are a propaganda spewing fucking moron. You are probably the one lone person on this site for which my hatred has few bounds. You are a facsist call to arms, and little more.

Why don’t you quit trying to think of ways to “piss people off”, eat your turkey, watch some football, and enjoy the day with your family?

Does anyone else think this is a massive asshole move going to a family function looking to pick a political fight?

Whn the condervatives in my family start blathering on about god-knows-what, I excuse myself and go enjoy some time with my nieces while they’re still young.

Or, you could start a fight and spray bad feelings all over the room.

Normally yes, it would be an asshole move, but my in-laws have been dishing the shit to me and I’ve been quiet and HAVE shut up, but no longer will I take it.

They attack my beliefs constantly and I’m going to give it right back ten-fold. I’ve sat back and numerous times said “I won’t get into it with you”… and their response is “Yeah that’s because you have nothing to say.” And my 3 and 6 year old daughters are witness to this.

Tell me…Isn’t it an asshole move also to attack your own son in laws beliefs while he visits??

It is, absolutely. I’m certainly not taking their side.

But, in this case…be the bigger man.

Save the arguments for here.

If you truly can’t stand these people, then have T’giving at home with your kids (who I’m sure you would rather be with, anyway.)

Perhaps ‘asshole’ was too strong; if it was, I apologize.

But, in my humble opinion…let the babies have their bottle.

I disagree. life is far too short to sit back and not say anything when people repeatedly attack you about your beliefs. i say give it back like you get it. just try to have a discussion and not get angry but if they continue to push and prod you, i don’t think you have any reason to just take it. Fuck that. Give it back. her parents should be mature enough to take it and if they’re not then hey, fuck them.[/quote]

You’re obviously not married
You’re obviously not over 21

I find it hard to believe, but harris is making the most sense here. Even though it kills the thread, it is the way to go.
Sorry Rock, I’d love to let you go, but my advice would be to continue to eat until you fall fast asleep in front of the tv watching a game.

Not fun, not witty, not very much of anything–
Stay away from politics and religion at the supper table and family functions.
These are my strong words for the holiday.
And best to all–Eat,drink and be merry

Don’t take the bait!

Politics, religion, whatever… If you don’t engage them you can sit back and watch the battle between those that do. Neither side will ever change their mind, so why not enjoy the show.

Well, I think with age people become less idealistic - and that ‘conservatizes’ them in a generic sense.

But I am surrounded by plenty of older people who are dyed-in-the-wool liberals - age doesn’t absolutely change any of it.

One thing I’ll say is this - you’ll learn in time that the reflexive ‘conservatives don’t care about social injustice’ washes away with experience - they simply disagree with what can be accomplished to solve the problems and of course how.

And I think the quote from Churchill went:

“If you are young and you are not a liberal, you have no heart. If you are old and you are not a conservative, you have no brain.”

Irish is right. Good call on the passion thing though, that’s not an emotion at all.

Listen, just resort to what most conservitives do when they are confronted and can’t think of an intelligent argument… start calling people names and start fist fights.

When a libral is bad, they are anoying as all hell, but when a conservitive is bad, they are violent and dangerous. What’s worse?

How about we all start picking a side AFTER hearing the facts on any issue, political or not. Then we can slander and spit all we want.

I vote this the most simple-minded generalized statement on this thread. The 20-something, word misspelling, misguided liberals are coming out in full force here. You are implicating your own kind with ridiculous mispelled posts like this one. Please try to sound more intelligent and we will try to take you more seriously.

P.S. libral = liberal, anoying = annoying, and conservitive = conservative.

Understood. And I agree that people generally will become less radical with age (coinciding with a drop in Testosterone levels?).

But I am not a huge fan of Churchill. If he had his way, the Irish would have been burning in ovens in the same fashion that the Jewish were in Germany.
