How to Get Old Paint Off Wood Trim?

Anyone here have any suggestions on how to get old paint of wood traim?

My sister just got a house. About 3 years old. The person who used to live there, didn’t do a good job of painting or tapping of the wood trim on the floor or on hand rails. There is paint splatter on some of the wood trim and rails. I assume it is about 3 years old. Anyone have any suggestions how to get this stuff off?

Thanks buds

Is this water based paint or oil based?

There’s stuff called crud kutter and goof off which may help.

If it’s oil based just try your finger nail or gentle persuasion with a putty knife.

Not sure.
Theres no paint cans left.
Previous person didnt say.

Try the finger nail/putty knife - if the paint comes off then great - if it’s difficult to remove and ‘crumbles’ then try the other stuff.

The product is called paint stripper . It is caustic and a bitch to work with but it does do the job . The thicker the paint the longer it takes. Have fun:)

Yeah, take a few swigs of this shit, too. It makes the job take much longer, but it’ll be way more fun.
