eat maintenance and lift heavy

Use compound lifts (Squat, Deadlift), lift heavy, and don’t eat any different.

^ And keep high intensity and low rep (sub 8).

Check out Thib’s “Different destinations, different Journeys” article. Goes over strength gain vs. pure mass. It’s a little dated, but it’ll work pretty well. I used it a while back, still like it. I would add, eat maintenance calories. Don’t cut 'em too low or recovery will suck from your intense lifting.

thanks guys

what wfifer says. you won’t gain weight if you nutritionally aren’t going over maintenance.
