I’m not sure this is the right place to post this but, I’m new to the site. I’ve been lurking around for about 3 months now and I finally decided to make an account. I’m 17 years old weight around 138 at 5’7 pounds of pretty much muscle a have a very low body fat not (sure of any exact numbers) I’ve been lifting for about a year and 4 months now.
The first year was utter bullshit training where I pretty much went to the gym an worked out whatever I felt like doing at the time. About the only thing I was doing right was taking Muscle Milk after I worked out.
I gained a bit of muscle from that and not to mention the wresting i had been doing for 3 years… but not nearly as much as I have been.
Anyway the last 4 months I’ve totally revamped my diet into totally clean eating. I set up an eating plan and a crappy food log that I’ve been meaning to fix up when I’m not so busy with college and work. I also recently purchased 150 healthiest foods on earth after seeing it mentioned on the site and I must say it’s awesome.I starting doing the intermediate level workout from Ian Kings Books of Muscle and it’ been going great for me.
I started off at a solid base of 128 pounds 4 months ago and I’m well on my way up staying somewhere around a steady 138 pounds without any noticable fat gain and I look a lot bigger than I did before.
Okay well enough about all that the main reason I’m posting this topic is because I just came off my first month cycle of creatine.
The thing that’s upsetting me is that everyone my friends that lift wieghts and select family members inculded is blaming my gains in the last 4 months or so souly on me supplmenting creatine. They’re totally ingnoring my change in diet the fact that I’m shovling food into my mouth constantly and that I’m actually lifting with a good program now.
They think that nothing else has played a factor into my resent change other than some damn pill that I take 2 of twice a day. I’ve become know now by my friends as ‘the kid who takes creatine thats why he’s getting bigger and we can ignore everything we says about his diet and new way of lifting.’
To make a long story short whats the best way to convince my friends and family that creatine isn’t steroids and it’s not the only reason I’ve been getting stronger. Nor is it going to make me into a pro bodybuilder or kill me? I’ve shown them articals online about the supplement by they all complain and say ‘oh it’s all bullshit information because they take the supplement themselves blah blah blah.’
Tell them to fuck off. Failing that show them a source that isn’t bodybuilding related.

Its fine dude, I began to swallow protein (about200g a day) and been making massive gains. Like you i was doing bullshit for a while so when you revamp shit your gains are sicknasty, and my mom keeps saying im going to kill my kidneys from all the protein, then i get really fed up with that and start reeming her on chain smoking, then she brings up my glutamine (which i let her take actually), creatine, and post workout drinks i have. God forbid i get fed up and say, yanno, just leave me alone! THEN IT MUST BE THE STEROIDS!!..your not alone pal brush it off
The Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey Protein has creatine in it. So you could just use that and say that your only using whey protein now and your “off” the creatine.

First off, Creatine monohydrate is an amino acid, I believe.
Secondly, if you’re taking Creatine in pill form there’s a good chance you’re not getting much out of it anyway.

Yeah so far that’s what I’ve been hearing, once I finish off the stuff that I have right I plan on buying some plain old monohydrate and see how that works out for me.
Haha I should just fuck around with them and pretend the stuff really is what’s giving me my gains,then they’d go out and buy it exspecting to see amazing results.

I personally wouldnt waste my time/money on Body Fortress; the product isn’t very high of quality.
OP - I agree with ditching the pills and getting plain mono. Not only would it save you a good deal of cash, but I’m sure you would see benefits by taking a better quality supplement.
the creatine is natural and doesn’t make that big a difference, in fact it is found in beef…
However the Gorilla testosterone I inject into my balls every day upon waking is working nicely and i will look like AHHnald by the end of next week just not as small.
