How Often to Train Core?

I’ve replaced 2 minute plank holds with bodysaws in my prehab glutes/core routine.

The bodysaws give me intense ab and oblique DOMS where the plank holds never did. This is probably good as it might mean they’re actually doing something.

However, I used to train the plank holds every day, but should I train the bodysaws every day? Or should I treat them like a ‘strength’ exercise (so do them 3x per week) and not a prehab one (which I’d do every day) since they are giving me DOMS?

I would just work into your routine slowly until the DOMS are not an issue anymore. Your core should be relatively tight all the time anyways, unless you lounge around all the time.
