How Flexible Are You?

The splits? No not since I was in school anyway. I try to stretch the hip flexors, I don’t really have a problem with my hamstring flexibilty but sitting at a desk for 8 hours a day does nothing for my flexors. When I first started oly I was told my flexibilty was pretty good (especially for my age as some said under their breath). Actually I have some hypermobility, especially with my wrists and shoulders that wasn’t a problem in my day to day life but throwing weight over your head, I kind of need some extra stability instead of flexibility.

Yoga is not so bad, gets me intuned with my spatial awareness which is good for my lifting. You can work up a sweat enough with some sequences too. It all depends on the teacher really.
