How Do You Combat High Blood Pressure?

Guys, my question to you is how do you control HBP?
Whenever I go on cycle, my cheecks become red, I breath more heavily and get light headed sometimes in a matter of weeks. When I’m at about month off steroids, I feel fine again…

I’ve tried eating clean and being leaner, it did help somewhat, but whenever I’m past 220 pounds these problems happen…

Funny thing is when I’m off, I don’t eat as clean as when I’m on, so this makes me think, does my body feel uncomfortable at such bodyweight? Is it water retention (as almost all AAS increase intramuscular water retention) or is it something else?

So, how do you personally deal with it? I’m interested to hear everyone guys on trt, cycle or blast and cruise.

Edit:

  • I control my estrogen and keep it high normal (feel good)
  • I donate blood
  • I do drink coffee (400-600mg/day)
  • I take creatine year round (5g or 10g when bulking)
  • I only have done test & dbol and test & winstrol (inj.)
  • I don’t mess with tren, adrol, halo, sdrol and other strong compounds
  • I go moderate with dosing (test 600-700mg, orals no more than 50mg)

Wow that’s a shit load of caffeine daily.

High BP isn’t always due to water retention, I get high BP from anavar which doesn’t cause any water retention. Other than throwing more drugs at the problem, I don’t think there is much you can do other than find compounds which do not increase your BP.

Edit: Another thing that helps me avoid BP spikes is tapering up to my final dose, how can one expect to be trouble free going from natural levels to 500mg testosterone a week?

Good points SB, yeah I guess I’ve to find out what works for me then…

Tapering sounds good, but also I think it depends on the ester, correct me if I’m wrong

I think I should quit caffeine when I’m on cycle, that might help with BP spikes I guess.

Also, what’s your opinion on more drugs in this case? I mean last time I had to take lisinopril to avoid crazy high bp I think it was from injectable winstrol (which I love).

I will always use the minimum amount of drugs and lowest doses needed to achieve the desired results. So no I would not go near blood pressure medication just because I want to use AAS.

The ester attached to the drug does not provide a slow enough taper up or down to allow the body to acclimatize.

Fair enough, is anavar the only problem for you? I’m just wondering maybe it was really winny instead of var?

I will run testosterone only just to see what will happen, maybe orals jack up my bp afterall…

To what point would you allow your bp raise, before calling it quits?

Also do you take caffeine and/or creatine?

Also I’m interested to hear from someone else.

I’d call it quits at about 145/95, but I’m usually at 90/60… so that’s not a particular concern I have

As @unreal24278 said, I would probably call it quits around 150/95.

No I do not take caffeine anymore and creatine, whatever may be in my stim-free preworkout, 2 or 3g three times a week.

Awesome, good information.

@unreal24278 what’s your opinion on ACE inhibitors long term? From what I’ve read chronic cough is the most common side effect. I’ve used it myself up to 40mg/day and I didn’t feel any sides… maybe a little more fatigue, but nothing major.

Anything more someone may add?

I don’t feel comfortable dispensing advice in relation to helping one use prescription medications to reduce on cycle side effects. There are too many variables, I don’t know you’re history, background, current meds etc… this is where shit can get dicey

I understand, thanks for the information though.

Any other guys that B&C or TRT/Cycle have issues with high bp?

Mine went pretty high initially on TRT then eventually leveled back down around 4 months in.

I do and I take cialis a few times a week. I just had my blood draw and it was 118/82. Sometimes it can get pretty high at the Dr office (whitecoat syndrome)

@blshaw
What BP monitor did you buy? The one I just bought seems to be a dud. Either that or I’m having a heart attack as we speak

Dex, I bought the Yuwell brand. I haven’t had any issues with it. Make sure the sleeve is about an inch above the forearm and the line is inline with the center of your palm.

@dextermorgan See below for the unit I ordered. It’s 44.85 on Amazon and links to your phone. Just make sure you legs are not crossed, arm is straight, supported, and about heart level. Otherwise you can get false highs.

Greater Goods Bluetooth Blood Pressure Monitor

Yeah, I believe a lot of people have that anxiety at docs office…

If you don’t mind how much cialis and what protocol eod, e3d? Also how much does it help? What was your BP pre cialis?

Anything else you do or take to improve your health?

I think is UGL 20 mg. I take it with my shots. My BP can fluctuate but it can run as high as 145/100 or so.

I take metformin, boron, D3, Vit C, and a multi.
