How Come My 100m Didn't Drop?

my 200m and 400m dropped but not my 100m

before my 200m was 38s but now its 33.
before my 400m was 88s but now its 74s

before my 100m was 16s but its still 16s
track season starts this week and i hope i can get it down to atleast 12s if thats possible

i know my times are slow but i joined track to get faster.

Your 200 and 400 time got better because you got in better shape so you could hold a faster pace longer.

Ditto. Your 100m isn’t faster because you are not any more powerful or explosive than you were before. However you did get into better shape to hold a pace for longer. The 100m is all about quick explosive power (aside from obviously getting very very good at sprint technique and start transitions).

Get stronger, get more explosive.

The 100 didn’t drop because you haven’t been training right or eating right. The other times improved because of basic practice and some general conditioning.

These should give you some useful info:

Chris I never post because you along with some other people always chime in with what I’m about to say first.

Get off the internet and let somebody else do the talking for once.
