How Bad Is Soy?

#1

i hadn't read those articles on soy until recently. i was wondering how bad is it really. could it be destroying some of the hard work i put into the gym and causing me to make less gains?

ive gone through my diet to realize there happens to be alot of soy in it.

  1. body for life nutrition bars. i eat 2 of these a day
  2. bumbble bee tuna. have been eating a can and 1 steak each day
  3. beef jerky. snack on it daily
i hope that there isnt anything else

am i being too paranoid over this or could this be slowing down my progress?

It probably isn't a problem unless you have more than 10-20 grams of soy protein a day.

And the tuna you're eating probably has a smidgeon of soybean oil in it, which isn't a problem.

But help me out here, why-o-why are you eating those Body for Life leather soles when you could be eating our Metabolic Drive bars?

Biotest's Metabolic Drive bars are less expensive, taste about 40 times better, have high-quality protein, and are as close to being a healthy bar as is technologically possible at this time.

Order some now before I beat you with a sock filled with soy.

i know i know i shouldnt be eating them. but there like 70 cents a bar on sale at stop and shop lol. i know i need to find a new protein bar to replace those now. ill check out the Metabolic Drive bars.

im ahppy to hear that the tuna shouldnt be a problem cause its such a great sorce of protein and easy to get.

thanks for the info, ill definitly consider the Metabolic Bars, great deal if i get a couple boxes with that sale!

I dunno. Soy oil is supposed to be not bad- possibly good, and there is a lot of bad associated with some of the protiens. No one thing should make or break a diet and training program, but I avoid soy protiens as a supplement and as a general rule.

On a darker note- A block of soy ran over one of my cats. Didn't even stop or slow down. I should never have named the cat Kenny.

Being as you bought up the subject...

Any chance you're going to drop the sucralose or at least have a "sucralose-free" option for some products, including perhaps the MD bars? I for one don't need any sweetners, and I am not convinced that sucralose (among others) is a healthy additive. Right now, I only have two choices: I don't like one (with sucralose), and you don't like the other (me not buying).
