How are Blood Tests Done Anyway?

Do the techs use a test strip or some such?
Is it possible to do my own blood work (one hospital lost my blood one time then lost results another) also my wifes a nurse and could help and advise.

You go to a lab! not the hospital

they draw blood…how much depends on the extent of panels to be tested

what are your intentions or specific questions pertaining to blood work might get better responses from more experienced guys than me!

I’m not sure if this varies between testing facilities, things theyre testing for, etc. But as far as I know they use a microscope slide with a grid, they count up the cells, particles, whatever, in the given squares (formed by the grid overlapping the sample) and get the values that way.

Damn, now THATS tedious as hell lol!
