House Music...

The good stuff. None of the Euro trash, infinite-remix of Tetris bullshit, though there is some good French house out there.

I’m near SF so there are some good spots here. My favorite DJs:

Joey Negro - Back to the Scene of the Crime is one of the best ablums I’ve ever heard. He’s probably my favorite DJ.

Miguel Migs - currently listening to 24th St Sounds (2 disc). Second favorite.

Cedric Gervais - good Miami resident

Mark Farina - big fan of the Mushroom Jazz series, particularly volumes 2 and 5

Julius Papp - don’t know any good albums, but he’s good live

Derrick Carter - have a a 64 min track with him called ‘Derrick Carter and the Funky Decknicians’

Roger Sanchez

I know there are a ton more. I like more jazzy or disco-ey house. Stuff with piano or sax is always good. Any good recs? Been away from it for a while but starting listening to house again, just got me thinking.

This one is a blast too!

ive got an awesome song for you then. the sax is awesome.

larniet garnier - the man with the red face

funkagenda’s remix is even better i think

…it kinda helps when you post links.

regular house music is generally too weak for me. i like the hard-house better.

certain stlyes of electronica are just too hard to differentiate too. most the stuff im digging right now is out of france, netherlands and AUS.

I’ve done some DJ sets too, but to be honest. House, trance, minimal ect… are so fuckin easy to mix.

Try spinning some drum & bass, that shit will floor you. It’s hard!

Really eh, I’d like to hear it. It depends what kind of drum & bass though, I like to listen to the stuff from 1993-1997. I like a lot of newer stuff too, but the classics are my favourite.

LTJ Bukem, Grooverider, Goldie, Doc Scott

Love those guys

i take back what i said about hardstyle. i just listened through a bunch of tracks and they all sucked to me lol. everything sounded way too similar.

i guess ill just stick with french electronic for now =/

Try this

Sander Klienenberg

LTJ Bukem

Both great.

Bush…didn’t mean ALL Euro stuff. I had to school my sister on what real house is. All she listens to is this bubble-gum pop perversion of house. I dig some of the older stuff as well.

I don’t dig DnB in general. I guess my tastes are more “west-coast” house.

I also like more of the hard-house. Hardstyle and hardbass are pretty good too IMO.
