HOT-ROX Extreme Question

Okay, I asked this question on the product page, but it never got answered, so I thought that maybe sticking it here might increase its exposure a bit.

I’m too sensitive to the yohimbine to take two caps twice a day, so I take one cap twice a day. My fear with this approach is that I’m shortchanging myself in the A7-E and Carbolin 19 ingredients.

Would it therefore make sense to add one cap of Maximum Strength HOT-ROX and one cap of Carbolin 19 each time I pop a HOT-ROX Extreme, thus amping up on those ingredients specifically?

Or would adding in either of these products throw off the ratio of ingredients and end up being less (or no more) effective? Or might the Sclaremax or guggelsterone in the Maximum Strength HOT-ROX be contraindicated somehow?

Thanks a lot.

A little bit of info:

HRX (HOT-ROX Extreme) has a couple of different ingredients than Maximum Strength HOT-ROX. Maximum Strength HOT-ROX used to have Sclaremax in it, this was replaced by Carbolin 19 and the main reason (to my knowledge) was that the two both have vasodilatory effects and can lower your blood pressure a tad. Combining the two has NOT been recommended by Biotest and if I remember correctly has been contraindicated.

In short : It is not wise or recommended to combine the old and new HOT-ROX.

I suppose it would depend on why you are taking the HOT-ROX. Taking Carbolin 19 is for mass and HOT-ROX is for cutting. Carbolin 19 is in HOT-ROX to preserve mass, but i don’t think they are intending for you to take HOT-ROX as a mass builder exactly.

If you wanted more of the effects of Carbolin 19, i would assume you would just be taking that.

Anyway, you’re basically wondering if you take extra Carbolin 19 will it make HOT-ROX not work.
I would guess not. If this was a problem, they would point it out on the bottle, like they warn against taking Spike with HOT-ROX.

However, I’d be aware that Carbolin 19 is for mass building. So the scale may not be moving in the direction you want it to if you are indeed cutting.

My advice would be, unless there is some DANGER in taking more Carbolin 19…which one would hope would be printed on the label( i would check to see the max recommended daily dosage of Carbolin 19)…then go for it.

But do it consistently for a month and monitor your progress.

Actually Cy Willson has mentioned before that the active ingredient in Carbolin 19 is a very effective lipolytic. My personal experience has shown this as well. While it is not recommended I do not see any problem with you adding a cap of Carbolin 19 to one cap of HRX.

The fact is Tim has inferred that there is not a full dose of Carbolin 19 in HRX so you won’t be overdosing with that protocol anyways.

Thanks for the info, people.

I searched like crazy before but never found that quote about the Sclaremax and Carbolin 19 both lowering blood pressure. That effectively answers my question about combining the two.

As for the Carbolin 19, I guess it’s probably not worth it for me at this point. I just wish I could tolerate the yohimbine better so that I could take the full serving, but what can you do?

Thanks again.

I appreciate the question, and the bottom line is this:

I tend to be over-sensitive to yohimbine, and taking what is likely a tolerable amount for the vast majority of people has a negative effect on my blood pressure, which causes me to become dizzy, light-headed, and nauseous when exerting myself.

Bottom line: any day that I do taxing exercises like squats or deadlifts, I’ll feel like I’m going to pass out and will have to cut my workout short.

A half dose of HRX is perfectly fine and seems to still work for me in that it allows me to maintain all my muscle mass–if not to actually grow muscle–while dieting down. The creatine and Surge no doubt contribute to that result as well.

Sorry it took so long for me to answer your question. If anything, my situation illustrates the point that when Biotest tells you to start at the minimum dosage and gradually increase to assess tolerance, you would be well served to do so.

I have a couple of questions about some of the side effects of HOT-ROX Extreme that I have been experiencing, and I hope there is someone on this forum that can answer them.

  1. Why do my eyes and mouth water along with my nose running more than usual? Is it a side effect of thermogenesis? If it is, I haven’t ever heard of it.

  2. I also have noticed that I am belching(raspberry!) and feel kind of bloated after taking a dose. My question is this- If I take an anti-gas OTC med like Phazyme or simethicone, will it interact with or deactivate any of the active compounds in HOT-ROX?

Thanks in advance to anyone who has the knowledge and will take the time to answer my questions.

Well, I am very sensitive to the yohimbine as well. I can take only one cap a day, but it does help with fat loss even at that dose.

I wish I could get more of the A7E without more of the yohimbine.

I can only take one HRX at a time, so I stack it with 500mg green tea extract.

Sorry so tardy on this but I just got a bottle and I’m experiencing the same problems. I’d also agree with someones earlier statement about starting at the lowest recommended dosage, which I did and I can’t see at this point with it’s effects taking two at once. Though despite it’s side effects I have noticed an effect overall in the very short time that I’ve been using this.

Does anyone get a burning feeling when they take HRX. I get that raspberry after taste no matter how much water I take them with, but I have not read anything about the little burning feeling when the capsules are going down.

I think what is happening is that in some cases, trace amounts of piperine are on the outside of the capsules. This may have occurred from diffusion through the gelatin of the capsule. I’ve experienced this taste with some HRX bottles but not with others.

On the forskolin carbonate question: It is of value for fat loss as well as muscle gain. Chris Powers’ idea makes perfect sense and has no problems with it.

I just took my first HOT-ROX Extreme.

I can feel every atom in my body bouncing together. I feel like a washing machine on spin cycle.

This from someone who drinks a french press of coffee in the morning then a four-shot Americano in the afternoon. I’m gonna need to adjust that…
