Hot Epsom Soak After Workout?

Good or bad?

I’ve heard both ways, and contradictions…probably what I’ll get from this thread. However, I thought I’d give it a shot because some of you sons-a-bitches know what you’re talking about.

I believe CT has recommended the occasional use of epson salts before.

I’ve used them before, but not for the last while. The last time I used them, I ended up sick and out of commission for a couple days. I don’t know if it had anything to do with the epsom salts or not.

I had used them previously without getting sick, for what that’s worth.

Very relaxing and I recommend to many people when they have aches and lots of DOMS. Speeds up recovery a bit I think, nonetheless it’s a nice thing to treat yourself to after a heavy session.

A hot bath, epsom salts or not, has always helped with my recovery.
