I saw someone describe that on Marunde’s site and thought that it was a good idea. I wanna make some, not because I need bumper plates, but because I just think it looks cool.

Haha ghetto style

Yeah, I have a pair of 40" Super Swampers that’d be oh soooooooo cool to use!

i might do this. im getting back into deads and golds gym doesn’t have rubber weights or any mats for deadening the sound…boo!!

Good god that is fabulous.

Your use of fabulous is fabulous.

I’ve done this.

It’s cool. Although has a few drawbacks.

It reduces the range of motion while limiting the amount of weight you can load on the bar… That could be counter productive for some.

Avoid dropping them! They really bounce!

I’ve had the bar bounce back into my shins hard enough to ruin the workout.

YMMV.
