History Channels Vikings

Hello.
Has anyone else been completely sucked into this show?
It is a lower budget Game of Thrones without the fantasy elements.
Great plot, interesting characters and a lot of action.
I love it.
They just renewed it for season 2

I’ve watched everything up until the last episode. I like its simplicity.

The opening cutscene and music are pretty awesome.

Also, all the episodes are all online, which is convenient.

Well, I never had visions of Odin, so maybe not devoid of all fantasy elements.

I wish I had though.

It is semi-semi-fantasy, where Game of Thrones is semi-fantasy

Semi-semi is one quarter right?

I love it just because I’ve always been utterly infatuated with Vikings. I also find Ragnar’s wife hot as absolute hel. I do wish there would be a bit more fighting, but it is cable so I guess they are limited with how grusome they can get.

I like it in that it is great timing for a story about Vikings - their discovery of the west, and the riches that were to be found in England.

the plot is thick enough, the acting is a little sparse - and some of the drama plot lines are stretched, but all in all it has my attention.

I am hoping Ragnar is to become less contemplative, and more gregarious - that is how i see the Vikings, excited to fight, fortunate that they find riches and excited to live life.

the issues about the brother I could do without - and the way the Jarl treated his group was not how I would see one to be, but whatevers~

I’ll still watch it, and dig it~

She is very attractive.
Something about the new woman from the season finale is infatuating as well.

That would be creepy, because Hel is semi-undead.

It’s an enjoyable show… especially for the History channel.

impressed in your knowledge of the myths~

It’s a great show. The history behind it is interesting. For instance, they think Ragnar never existed although his famous sons did. The new girl they introduced in the finale was supposedly one of his wives, but then again, did he exist?

The character of Rollo, goes on to found and rule the area that became Normandy. HE was baptized a Christian so they showed that in the show. He’s also the great-great-great-grandfather of William the Conqueror.

She actually has a black belt in some sort of martial arts. She’s ideal.

if semi refers to half, then semi-semi would be whole, right?

I have watched 5 of the shows and liked it.
