Hips Rising to Fast

Hi when i pull off the ground my hips would rise to fast related to my shoulder. is there any way i can correct that?

glute activation. apparently the hips rise early to deload the legs because the hamstrings work better from there but you want to be using your glutes…

practice practice practice.

practice just the first pull and don’t let your hips rise early. slow it down for a bit maybe. you aren’t yanking it off the ground, are you?

no infact i am trying to make my first pull slow. is there any exercise for glute activation?

Here is a video of me doing 92.5kg. Please see too things are hips rising fast and am I yanking it from the ground?

Push off the floor more with your legs, keep the effort in your back the same. Keep the bar closer off the floor by using your lats. Keep your weight on your heels.

during the first pull i start with balls of my feel. Should i start with heels of the floor. I found if i start with heels i get underneath faster

Stay near the middle/rear of the foot.

I’ve got a question to add in relation to this: Have the same problem when performing the snatch, my hips rise too early, and when i focus on not having that happen, i always hit my knees with the bar. I got long legs in relation to torse by the way.

How could i fix that? I have already tried slowing it down. Flaring my knees out more in the start could be an option?

Yes, flare your knees out. This is what I started doing and it works very well!!
