Hip Hinging

Instead of feeling it in my hamstrings, feel it in calves

Is this strange? I’m guessing I’m lacking some dorsi-flexion, this also makes the lowering-part of deadlifts look like garbage because I can’t push my hips back enough to get the bar past my knees. Anyone dealt with this before?

Sounds like your deadlifting on your toes instead of your heals.

How do rack pulls feel at knee level or mid shin level?

I’ve never done rack pulls tbh… just conventional deadlifts with a narrow stance. When I hip hinge i feel like my calves are stretching as opposed to my hams…
