Hey there. For the past two months I’ve done your basic 3x per week lifting trying to get a little stronger while losing a bit of fat. Now I’m going to take this next week off and then start a big ass (I hope not literally) bulking cycle. I’m pissed about having to take a week off, and I’d love to just jump in right away. So I’m looking for any excuse to train. Would HIIT interfere with my recovery?
What I do:
Either do about 8 hill sprints, maybe 50 yards and pretty steep or run the stairs up a 26 floor library. (Supposedly the tallest or second tallest brick building or brick library in the US . . . guess where I am.)
So if I did this twice in the upcoming week like Tuesday and Thursday would that defeat the purpose of taking a week off? Thanks.
