Do you find performing high pulls before deadlifts negatively affects your form any on the latter? I’ve been trying to get more out of, and become more efficient, in my warm-ups. What I’ve tried is starting the warmups with some very light muscle snatches (mostly trying to learn the movement). Then I move on to high pulls for a bit, not getting anywhere close to the weight I can hit. Then I do a couple sets of snatch deads before going on to my traditional style pulls.
I generally need a long warm up and I’ve been feeling strong and ready to go on my heavy sets. However, I’ve noticed my hips jumping up even more than they usually do on my heaviest sets. Getting my hips down has always been a struggle for me though. Thanks.
